Since leaving the streets of Lagoa da Italianinha in 2022, Valdenes' life has practically changed drastically. He grew up living on the streets alongside almost his entire family, including his siblings Jad, Juju Doida, Vitória, Guilherme, and Josy. At the time, Mayor Myllena inaugurated two housing complexes for homeless people, and only Guilherme didn't want to go to these complexes and preferred to continue living on the streets because of the beggar Andreza, for whom he is in love.
Valdenes started teaching drawing at the music school of Eraldo, his best friend, and even held the position of Secretary of Tourism in Lagoa da Italianinha, but was dismissed. Valdenes currently works with Judge Suely, assisting her in an office she opened.
As for relationships, Valdenes remains single, but has a turbulent history: in his adolescence, he was in love with Wéllia, but she humiliated him. Shortly after, he began a relationship with Josiane, even spending a few days with her on the streets when she ran away from home in 1996. Josiane, after that, was sent to Maceió by her father, the newly elected mayor Moab.
Years later, Valdenes and Josiane reunited when she returned to the city, but they remain separated due to Moab's opposition to a possible romance between them.
In his daily routine, he gets up early, puts on formal clothes, has coffee, and goes out to work. He continues to walk barefoot even after leaving the streets. He draws attention for having an elegant style while remaining down-to-earth. He goes barefoot even to work and practically everywhere where he doesn't risk being turned away.
He spends the day on the street, even giving drawing lessons, has lunch, goes home at night, and then, upon arriving home, puts on shoes and takes a shower. The young man likes to bathe fully clothed, even with shoes on, which he only wears at those times. Valdenes is a staunch barefoot man, but when he's seen wearing shoes, he's usually going to a beach, a pool, or a waterfall, where he enters the water completely clothed, as some in the city also do...
One day, his friend, Sister Alcineia, the nun, asked him why he always goes barefoot and only wears shoes in the bath. He said:
- On land, I can see where I'm stepping, but in the water, I can't. At least, at the beach, no crabs bite me...
He also recounts that one day, while bathing, a scorpion appeared; he killed the creature because he was wearing shoes. But he makes it clear that he only wears shoes at those times, as he really prefers to be barefoot.
Currently, he's also involved with the florist Aline Débora, whom he's been dating. It is believed that he still loves Josiane, but has no hope of being with her because of their social differences. Aline Débora takes advantage of this to try and win him over.
Some of his best friends are Eraldo, his sister Luana, Ana Karina, Branquinha, and Sister Alcineia, a nun. He maintains a good relationship with his brother Guilherme, who preferred to continue living on the streets of the city, and occasionally brings him food.
His unique way of being attracts attention, and sometimes he gets sad when people criticize his style. But he is always encouraged by his best friends and never changes his ways, even if most people don't like them.
