One afternoon, at the bus station in Lagoa da Italianinha, the beggar Rita de Cássia was with her doll Dalila, confronting the advertising executive Wéllia. At that moment, Malu, Wéllia's twin sister, and her niece Alice, Wéllia's daughter, passed by. Seeing the scene, Malu said:
- But what does this mean?
Wéllia said:
- This dirty beggar is challenging me!
- You liar! You came here to humiliate me, you think you're better than me!
- And I am better than you, you silly girl. Look where you live, on the streets, homeless, look at me, I live in a mansion!
Rita de Cássia was about to hit Wéllia with her doll Dalila, but Malu stopped her:
- Stop it, let it go, Rita. Don't pay attention to her."
Wéllia said:
- That dirty, smelly beggar will never measure up to me!
Alice said:
- Enough, Mom. Let's stop this.
Malu took Rita de Cássia nearby. Wéllia said to Alice:
- Whose side are you on, you crazy woman?
- Mom, I can't stay on your side like this.
Malu appeared and said:
- Wéllia, frankly, you have no idea. You're here arguing with a poor little street girl, who, poor thing, has the mind of a child?
- She challenged me!
- I know you, Wéllia. You can't see a beggar without wanting to humiliate them. She just gave a response!
- Oh, my twin sister and my daughter defending that filthy beggar, I can't stand it. I'm leaving, this could be contagious!
Wéllia left. Malu went to buy Rita de Cássia a snack and then left with her niece Malu.
