One night, five sisters, separated by time and occupations, decided to meet at a restaurant in the Maniçoba Shopping Mall. Even though they all live in the same city, Lagoa da Italianinha, they rarely manage to meet simultaneously.
Mayor Myllena, one of them, as is already known, is the mayor of the city and is preparing to run for state representative. She only manages to see two of her sisters more closely on a daily basis: Karoline and Ilene, who are municipal secretaries.
Judge Suely is very busy at the courthouse, in addition to maintaining her office, while Faby Pés Sujos, the "street urchin," is the only one who has separated herself from the luxurious life of her sisters. Today she lives in a house on top of a tree and sells popsicles on the streets.
Karoline and Ilene, who were wearing shoes, laughed at the other three barefoot sisters. Ilene even said:
- I'm the one who hates putting my feet on the ground the most. I don't even take my shoes off in the shower."
- You don't know what you're missing, Ilene, - said Myllena.
- Leave me as I am.
Karoline said to Faby:
- And you're going to keep selling popsicles on the streets?"
-Yes, it's a dignified and honest job. And I don't want anything from life, I love simplicity."
- You should go back to living in wealth like us," said Ilene.
- It's easier for Suely to let her hair grow than for me to go back to luxury.
Suely said:
- Well, if you depend on me letting your hair grow so you can go back to living in a mansion, you can stay on the streets forever. I'm loving being bald and I want to stay that way."
- People talk so much about you, Suely...- said Myllena.
- Goodness, if I worried about what people think, I wouldn't even be a judge!
The conversation lasted a long time, but Ilene left before the end. She didn't want to stay because, in truth, she doesn't really like Faby or Suely. But Karoline said:
- She just has a headache, that's all...
Myllena said to Suely, Karoline, and Faby:
- Look, I'm running for state representative, I hope I can count on you.
- If you get elected and they bar you from the Assembly because you're barefoot, Myllena, what are you going to do? - said Karoline.
- I'll just watch the remote meetings. I won't give up my way of being.
Suely said:
- In that, Myllena and I are alike, we don't give up our way of being.
When it was already night, Myllena returned to her house, taking Karoline to her apartment. Suely gave Faby a ride to the tree where Dirty Feet lives before going to her house.
