Josiane, the daughter of Pernambuco state representative Moab, remains in love with Valdenes, the former homeless man who now lives in a house in the Bella Ciao Residential Complex in Lagoa da Italianinha.
Josiane, who rarely leaves home, usually wears a white dress and shoes, which she even wears when showering. Josiane also suffers from anxiety and depression and has been receiving treatment in Maceió.
But sometimes, Josiane meets secretly with Valdenes, away from the eyes of her father, her sister Danúzia, and her aunt Ana Patrícia.
On one of these days, Josiane spent the entire day swimming in the pool, thinking about life. Her father was in Vila Dourada campaigning, and only her sister Natália was home.
