Today, in Vale dos Gatos, in the forested area of Lagoa da Italianinha, there is a small chalet where Adriana currently lives. But she is no ordinary figure: sister of teacher Ana Karina and councilwoman and businesswoman Cileide, she built a political career in the city starting in 1996. She graduated as a psychologist and was elected councilwoman in 1996 and 2000. In 2004, she left to run for vice-mayor on Sandra Valéria's ticket, being defeated that year, which left Adriana without a mandate.
In 2008, she returned to the position of councilwoman, returning again in 2012 and 2016. But in 2018, her life changed completely. Convinced by the words of Rafaela - who traded a life of luxury for the countryside - Adriana decided to resign from her councilwoman position, give up her psychology practice, and sell her house. She was called crazy and irresponsible.
Adriana did indeed resign from her mandate, and her alternate, Kátia, took over, beginning her political career. Adriana retired to Vale dos Gatos and lived for seven years in the middle of the forest, sleeping in the undergrowth. In 2025, she decided to build a chalet for health reasons. But she remains close to those who live in the middle of the forest: Rafaela, Danielle, Eduardo, and Lulu.
Adriana no longer follows politics and only gets involved when it's to fight for the forest. She often shelters the forest dwellers in her chalet on nights when it's impossible for them to stay in the forest – such as during a storm.
