Famous for being a city in the heart of Pernambuco's interior and founded by Italians, in addition to a presence of small Portuguese and German colonies, Lagoa da Italianinha received a family from another country: Sweden. Adam, the patriarch of the family, settled in the city where he is finishing a shopping center. He is married to Dagmar and has two children: Gustav and Greta.
Dagmar, by the way, is the daughter of the German Klaus and the Swedish Blenda. Klaus had worked in a concentration camp and was the one who guarded the prisoner Alessandra, whom he later came to protect. After almost being killed by the officers, Klaus managed to escape to Sweden, where he met the nurse Blenda and married her, giving birth to Dagmar, who tries to hide her father's past, fearing some prejudices.
Gustav, in turn, is an idealistic, hardworking and responsible young man, and usually helps his father in business. Greta is more distinctive: she has a style reminiscent of the 1960s. In Lagoa da Italianinha, she even befriended another vintage girl, Fabíola. However, unlike Fabíola, Greta is more lucid and recognizes that it's 2025. She was struck by the unusual customs of a few town residents, such as walking barefoot everywhere or showering fully clothed. Greta decided to adopt these two habits.
It's also worth noting that both young people are single. But Gustav has become enchanted by Lavínia, a young woman with albinism. Greta, in turn, who loves nature and caring for plants, has started helping the widower Esdras, who is a gardener. Esdras's daughter, little Hadassa, has taken a liking to the Swedish girl and is already asking her father to make her her "new mother."
