On Ash Wednesday afternoon, at a gas station in Lagoa da Italianinha, Warlla, the "chic beggar," went to take a shower at the gas station where she usually bathed. Some people passed by and looked at the "dirty lady" in the shower.
Warlla said:
- What are you looking at? Haven't you ever seen anyone taking a shower before?
A woman said:
- In lady clothes and a purse, I've never seen that before.
Warlla said:
- I don't have a house, this is my bathroom, and you wanted me to be naked in public, did you? Never. I go in like this, and it's none of your business!
At one point, Warlla took off her purse, and taking water from the shower, started throwing it at people, saying:
- Get lost! Go find clothes to wash, because at least I'm already washing mine!
They were still surprised by her purse, but there was nothing inside; she just put it on her shoulder to pose...
